Eminem To Judge Online Rap Battle

Eminem is set to judge Vibe Magazine's upcoming "Vibe Verses Presents No. 1 Stan" competition where the winner has to do a live battle rap in order to take the big prize home. A group of aspiring MCs hand-picked by Eminem himself will find themselves fighting it out to see who has the skills to earn the title.

The contest is in celebration of Vibe's "Real Rap" issue hitting stands on May 19th (the same day as Eminem's upcoming "Relapse" album). Participants will upload a 60-second video clip of themselves freestyling over the instrumental track of Eminem's "Stan" single.

"Battling is the way I came up, so it's gonna be interesting to watch a rap battle unfold online," Eminem said about the contest. "Vibe is taking it out of the clubs and street corners and putting it on the Net. MCs better bring it, because I'm watching."

All entries are due by April 21st by visiting numberonestan.com. The top 10 finalists, determined by a Vibe.com user voting system, will be sent another instrumental track to rhyme over for an additional 60 seconds with the final results passed on to Eminem to judge. Em will then pick the top two rappers by May 8th and they will be flown to a special Vibe event where the winner will be determined by an audience vote. The winner will get an engraved microphone dubbing them Eminem's "No. 1 Stan" and they will be featured in the magazine.

T-Pain Loses Teeth in Accident

A golf cart accident last Friday in Texas left T-Pain with several facial bruises and four missing teeth, according to various reports.

The accident led T-Pain to miss the San Jose stop on Lil Wayne’s I Am Music tour.
Fans at the HP Pavilion learned of the Pain’s absence after entering the building.
T-Pain’s injuries also kept him away from a video shoot for Lil Kim’s next single, “Download.”

According to the Queen Bee, the show will go on—and T-Pain will be in the video.
“He’s gonna be in the video,” Lil Kim told Hip Hollywood. “We’ve gotta wait until he heals and gets better.”

T.I sentenced to one year and a day in prison and fined over $100k

Rapper T.I. was officially sentenced in Atlanta court on March 27 to one year and one day in prison and was ordered to pay a $100,300 fine on weapons charges.
"I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to others," said T.I. at his sentencing, according to CNN.com.

"In my life, I have been placed in the worst-case scenario and had to make the best of it," he said. "Most often, things I have learned have been from trial and error. I knew no way to protect myself than to arm myself."

The rapper was also sentenced to some property forfeiture, supervised release for three years following his prison sentence, 365 days of home confinement and 1,500 hours of community service. To date, T.I. has completed 305 days of home confinement and 1,030 hours of service. He could possibly be released from prison in as little as 10 months because of a plea deal he received. The plea deal will allow T.I. to qualify for credits that will reduce his sentence.

In addition, he must also "undergo DNA testing and drug counseling, cannot own firearms and must submit to reasonable searches and a financial audit."

T.I. was arrested in October 2007 in an Atlanta parking lot mere hours before he was set to headline the BET Hip Hop Awards. His arrest came as the result of a federal sting operation after his bodyguard (at that point working as an informant) delivered three machine guns and two silencers to him.

The rapper, who was not allowed to own any weapons due to a 1998 felony drug charge conviction, was arrested.
